On Saturday July 14 a combined reunion/CD launch was held at the Bentleigh Club in Melbourne, featuring 4 of the original Red Onions band members plus friends. The new AJM 2-CD set, which included recordings from the AJM archives spanning the Red Onions’ career, was launched that night, and very brisk sales ensued. The entire event had been organised by our steadfast friend and supporter Diana Allan, with help from a few friends.

At the end or the evening, Diana generously presented a cheque equal to the entire profits from the concert, an amount exceeding $7,000, to the Australian Jazz Museum.
