Free entry (no cover charge) for AJM members at Dizzy’s Jazz Club gigs this week:
- Thursday, 26th November – Jazzaoke with Mordialloc Jazz Orchestra (MoJO). A great chance to sing along to a set list of around 70 swing, jazz, and rock and roll tunes.
- Friday, 27th November – Miriam Waks (NY) with Joe Ruberto Trio. Join Joe Ruberto, one of Melbourne’s leading pianists, and his dynamic trio at Dizzy’s. With international artist Miriam Waks on vocals.
- Saturday, 28th November – Adam Dunning & Ana Mitsikas with Roger Clark Quartet. Adam Dunning mingles his world of Bossa Nova and Jazz with the delightful Broadway tones of Ana Mitsikis for an evening of duets and solos alongside the sharp Roger Clark Quartet.
- Tuesday, 1st December – Monash Jazz Orchestra. A performance by Monash Jazz Orchestra’s jazzy Stage Band.
- Wednesday, 2nd December – Dizzy’s Big Band with Peter Hearne and Andie Dowell. Dizzy’s outstanding 18-piece Big Band plays every Wednesday playing traditional arrangements from the likes of Frank Sinatra, Count Basie and Duke Ellington through to modern masters such as Gordon Goodwin and Tom Harrell.
Dizzy’s Jazz Club is an Australian Jazz Museum Jazz Venue Partner: 381 Burnley Street, Richmond, VIC. 03 9428 1233 Live jazz Tuesday – Saturday, plus an occasional Monday. Roger Clark is an AJM Musician Member, the proprietor of Dizzy’s Jazz Club, and often sits in or leads on sax.
