Free entry (no cover charge) for AJM members at Dizzy’s Jazz Club gigs this week:

  1. Thursday, 5th May – Kluke’s Korner. Kluke’s Korner is comprised of leading Melbourne bassist Geoff Kluke together with Peter Petrucci (guitar) and Lewis Pierre-Humbert (drums).
  2. Friday, 6th May – A night of Paris Jazz with Christophe Genoux. Originally from Paris, France, Christophe Genoux plays tenor saxophone and is one of the leading exponents of the modern jazz idiom. Christophe will be joining the Roger Clark Quartet, featuring some of Melbourne’s finest jazz musicians, to bring you the sound of Paris Jazz  at Dizzy’s Jazz Club.
  3. Saturday, 7th May – Aurora Mackrill with Roger Clark Quartet. A memorable night with vocalist Aurora MacKrill. Her theatrical style of entertaining is rich in vocal and visual colour, stirred with a splash of the unexpected. Performing with Melbourne’s Roger Clark Quartet, featuring Rory Clark on piano, Paige Smith (USA) on bass, Roger Clark on alto and Brian Abrahams on drums.
  4. Tuesday, 10th May – Monash Jazz Orchestra. A performance by Monash Jazz Orchestra’s jazzy Stage Band.
  5. Wednesday, 11th May – Dizzy’s Big Band. Dizzy’s outstanding 18-piece Big Band perform at Dizzy’s, playing traditional arrangements from the likes of Frank Sinatra, Count Basie and Duke Ellington through to modern masters such as Gordon Goodwin and Tom Harrell.
