The “Onions” were another popular New Orleans-style group of young musicians who began in 1961 and continued until 1996. We have selected their entire recorded output from 1962 to 1965.

Tracks include: Stevedore Stomp, It’s Tight Like That, Mandy, Shine, and Four or Five Times. The playing time of this double-CD is a generous 153 minutes.

036 Ian Pearce – Pianoman – The Piano Solos – AJM 036 (Double CD) PEA 702

Jan Kuplis, Tasmanian biographer of jazz man Ian Pearce (1921–2012), managed to unearth a large number of piano solos by Ian who originally played trumpet and trombone with the Barrelhouse Jazz Band. Ian later switched to piano and became a fine jazz pianist. We have been able to issue a double-CD of his solo piano performances since 1972.
