School Jazz Seminars

Beginner Jazz Seminars

Offered free of charge to schools for their students. Ideal for schools wishing to include jazz in their music program, but who are not sure of how to begin, or who do not have enough students to form a big band. Seminars are restricted to 5 – 8 players of flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, tuba, piano, guitar, bass or drums. It is not necessary to provide a balanced group for these seminars.

Students are provided with instruction in improvisation and chart reading by a professional jazz musician, along with a booklet of music and a backing CD.

Advanced Jazz Seminars

Offered free of charge to schools for their VCE students.  Students are provided with instruction in improvisation and chart reading by a professional jazz musician, along with a booklet of music and a backing CD. There is no limit on the numbers or range of instruments for these seminars.
