Phil Sandford is researching material for a musical biography of the Melbourne Jazz Pianist Willie “The Lion” McIntyre one of the Pioneers of Australian Jazz. “The Lion” was also known as a “Blues Shouter” which refers to singers who don’t need a microphone to be heard.
