AJM’s exhibition How Ya Gonna Keep ‘Em Down on the Farm looks at the exceptional contributions of John and Shirley Ansell to jazz in regional Australia. They travelled all around regional New South Wales performing gigs sometimes up to 6 days a week, and toured jazz festivals throughout Australia well into their retirement. John and Shirley’s contributions were celebrated in local and state papers which can be found by browsing the exhibition on our website. https://www.ajm.org.au/?page_id=14666 Image description: four newspaper clippings of John and Shirley posing together.
