“All I do is Dream” presents a tribute to Thelonious Monk – tonight at the Paris Cat – with discounts for AJM members

All I Do Is Dream - Oscar Neyland
All I Do Is Dream – Oscar Neyland

Oscar Neyland’s “All I Do Is Dream” series premiered at Paris Cat in January of this year. A project centred around rediscovering and exploring the jazz greats and their stories. The group turns its attention this time to the great pianist Thelonious Monk. One of the most distinctive composers ever to grace the instrument, Monk’s music is as intriguing as it is timeless.

For this show, Oscar has rearranged the group into a quintet, the smaller ensemble often favoured by Monk. The rhythm section features local rising jazz stars Oscar Neyland on Double Bass, Harry Cook on Piano, and Christopher Cameron on Drum Kit. Joining them on horns will be Reuben Lewis on Trumpet and Joshua Kelly on Saxophone.
