Free entry (no cover charge) for AJM members at Dizzy’s Jazz Club gigs this week:

1. Thursday, 3rd December – Melbourne Blue and then Roger Clark Quartet.  First, Melbourne Blue: bringing together a unique ensemble of accomplished and diverse musicians replicating sophisticated grooves and rhythms across varying musical genres. Second, Roger will be performing with his quartet, featuring renowned pianist Rory Clark and San Francisco’s Paige Smith on bass.
2. Friday, 4th December – The Glass Moon. The Glass Moon is comprised of highly accomplished professional musicians that offer a vast repertoire of tastefully re-imagined classics mixed in with the band’s memorable originals.
3. Saturday, 5th December – Sarah Maclaine with Roger Clark Quartet, featuring Harold Jefta. Sarah Maclaine will grace the stage here at Dizzy’s with special, internationally renowned guest Harold Jefta, a world class saxophonist. Backed by Roger Clark Quartet, a quartet that is well known in Melbourne.
4. Tuesday, 8th December – McKinnon Secondary College. The students of McKinnon Secondary College perform at Dizzy’s. With special guest appearance from The Jassisters.
5. Wednesday, 9th December – Dizzy’s Big Band with Peter Hearne and Andie Dowell. Dizzy’s outstanding 18-piece Big Band plays every Wednesday playing traditional arrangements from the likes of Frank Sinatra, Count Basie and Duke Ellington through to modern masters such as Gordon Goodwin and Tom Harrell.
