Free entry (no cover charge) for AJM members at Dizzy’s Jazz Club gigs this week:

1. Thursday, 31st March – Mashaka. Mashaka is an energetic quintet led by inventive local pianist and composer, Ange Montalti. On vocals is Liona Tatafu, whose soulful and captivating voice combines beautifully with Mashaka’s programme of originals and re-worked popular contemporary tunes.
2. Friday, 1st April – The Glass Moon. Singer Cam Giles Webb effortlessly creates a personal, warm, friendly atmosphere that manages to stay professional and intimate at the same time. Easy going, fun, enjoyable and classy.
3. Saturday, 2nd April – Sarah Maclaine with Roger Clark Quartet. Singer/songwriter Sarah Maclaine constantly delights audiences with her rich, velvety voice, it’s beautiful tone and fantastic vocal range. Everything from The Beatles to Beyoncé, Ella Fitzgerald to Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson to Michael Bublé! Backed by Roger Clark Quartet, a quartet that is well known in Melbourne.
4. Tuesday, 5th April – Monash Jazz Orchestra. The Monash Jazz Orchestra is the society’s classy, jazzy Stage Band! MoJO is fast developing a name for itself as one of the best big bands on the university campus. Performing regularly on campus and in the local community, MoJO keeps the music going long after the other ensembles have stopped!
5. Wednesday, 6th April – Dizzy’s Big Band. Dizzy’s outstanding 18-piece Big Band perform at Dizzy’s, playing traditional arrangements from the likes of Frank Sinatra, Count Basie and Duke Ellington through to modern masters such as Gordon Goodwin and Tom Harrell.
