Free entry (no cover charge) for AJM members at Dizzy’s Jazz Club gigs this week:

1. Thursday, 7th April – Kluke’s Korner. Kluke’s Korner is comprised of leading Melbourne bassist Geoff Kluke together with Peter Petrucci (guitar) and Lewis Pierre-Humbert (drums).
2. Friday, 8th April – Craig Schneider Trio. Craig Schneider is a multi award-winning pianist, vocalist, composer, arranger, and musical director. With musical influences ranging from the swinging style of Oscar Peterson and Nat “King” Cole to the fiery Latin music of Michel Camilo and Chick Corea, Craig performs a versatile and engaging repertoire of his own original compositions and jazz standards with his trio, featuring Ashley Smith (bass) and Nelson Piccin (drums).
3. Saturday, 9th April – David Rex Quartet with Grace Cordell. World-class alto saxophonist and accomplished composer David Rex is without doubt one of Australia’s greatest gifts to Jazz. Grace Cordell is a Melbourne rising star, consistently blowing audiences away with her unique voice and exceptional vocal range. Breathing fresh air into the jazz standards.
4. Wednesday, 13th April – Dizzy’s Big Band. Dizzy’s outstanding 18-piece Big Band perform at Dizzy’s, playing traditional arrangements from the likes of Frank Sinatra, Count Basie and Duke Ellington through to modern masters such as Gordon Goodwin and Tom Harrell.
