Free entry (no cover charge) for AJM members at Dizzy’s Jazz Club gigs this week:

  1. Thursday, 21st April – Something Got Me Started. Something Got Me Started brings together a unique ensemble of accomplished & diverse musicians replicating sophisticated grooves & rhythms across varying musical genres! Immersing audiences into some modern Jazz, R&B with twists of Reggae, Funk, brilliant instrumentals and combining some very cool & distinctive multi vocals.
  2. Friday, 22nd April – Mashaka. Mashaka is an energetic quintet led by inventive local pianist and composer, Ange Montalti. On vocals is Liona Tatafu, whose soulful and captivating voice combines beautifully with Mashaka’s programme of originals and re-worked popular contemporary tunes.
  3. Saturday, 23rd April – Roger Clark Quartet with Sevil Sabah Sevil Sabah performs a wide range of music with her elegant and sultry voice. Expect swing and jazz standards with a twist, gentle ballads, Latin, blues, soul and even some funky pop. Sevil will be performing at Dizzy’s with Melbourne’s Roger Clark and his quartet, featuring Todd Sydney on piano, Paige Smith (USA) on bass and Brian Abrahams on drums.
  4. Tuesday, 26th April – Richmond Music Academy. Join the Richmond Music Academy for their monthly open mic, showcasing the talent that is produced by the academy.
  5. Wednesday, 27th April – Dizzy’s Big Band. Dizzy’s outstanding 18-piece Big Band perform at Dizzy’s, playing traditional arrangements from the likes of Frank Sinatra, Count Basie and Duke Ellington through to modern masters such as Gordon Goodwin and Tom Harrell.
