Free entry (no cover charge) for AJM members at Dizzy’s Jazz Club gigs this week:

1.    Thursday, 13th October – Saxband with Lachlan Davidson. The Monash University Saxophone Big-band, otherwise known as “Saxband” is led by Lachlan Davidson and made up up of Monash Uni students. The repertoire ranges from re-arrangements of Australian big band music to compositions for sax ensemble with and without rhythm section, and classical works.

2.    Friday, 14th October – Ange Montalti Quartet and Gianni Marinucci. Featuring Ange Montalti (piano), Ivan Rossa (bass), John Zappia (saxes), Conrad Tracey (drums).

3.    Saturday, 15th October – The Glass Moon. The Glass Moon is comprised of highly accomplished professional musicians that offer a vast repertoire of tastefully re-imagined classics mixed in with the band’s memorable originals. Singer Cam Giles Webb effortlessly creates a personal, warm, friendly atmosphere that manages to stay professional and intimate at the same time.

4.    Wednesday, 19th October – Dizzy’s Big Band. Dizzy’s outstanding 18-piece Big Band perform at Dizzy’s, playing traditional arrangements from the likes of Frank Sinatra, Count Basie and Duke Ellington through to modern masters such as Gordon Goodwin and Tom Harrell.
